The Artifacts function in Claude allows the AI to share substantial, standalone content in a dedicated window, separate from the main conversation. This helps users easily modify, build upon, and reference important pieces of content.

ConsoleX has now launched the Artifacts function, which not only features an interface and functionality similar to Claude's, but also works with other models, e.g., OpenAI gpt-4o and o1-mini models. Additionally, users can edit the code of artifacts in source mode and preview the effects of artifacts, greatly enhancing user experience and flexibility.

Steps for Usage

  1. Enable Artifacts: Click on the options menu in the top right corner and enable the Artifacts function at the bottom of the right sidebar.

  2. Raise a Request: Ask the AI for a task that requires the use of Artifacts.

  3. Preview Effect: The system will automatically pop up an Artifacts window to preview the generated content.

Use Cases

Some common examples of Artifact use cases include:

  • Documents (Markdown or Plain Text)

  • Code snippets

  • Websites (single page HTML)

  • Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) images

  • Diagrams and flowcharts

  • Interactive React components

Notes

  1. Artifacts generate additional tokens, so it is recommended to open them only when necessary and use auto caching to save bandwidth.

  2. Artifacts preview is only available on computers and is not currently supported on mobile devices.

  3. The first-time loading of Artifacts on a computer requires loading a sandbox environment, which may be slow. However, once the environment is loaded, subsequent generations will be faster.

We will keep improving the functionality of Artifacts, and let us know if you have any suggestions or feature requests.
